A seasoned litigator, Ms. Koenen represents lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in complex transactions, contract negotiations, and disputes in both state and federal courts. Beyond litigation, Ms. Koenen has extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, conducting legal due diligence, and navigating intricate financial and operational challenges. She has successfully represented clients across diverse industries, including technology, construction, and pharmaceuticals, offering tailored guidance on creditor rights, contract disputes, and avoidance actions. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Koenen has a background in executive leadership, having served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for a startup, where she managed all business and legal operations. This unique perspective enables Ms. Koenen to understand and address the broader business implications of legal decisions. Ms. Koenen earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was Executive Editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. Ms. Koenen is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
