Erik Zaratin, Partner, is a talented litigator with hands-on knowledge of all aspects of real estate tax certiorari proceedings and tax benefit initiatives. He has successfully obtained tax exemptions and abatements for developers, not-for-profit entities, and educational institutions under the City's Industrial and Commercial Abatement Program (ICAP). Prior to joining Goldberg Weprin, Erik represented municipalities by defending tax certiorari claims. Erik has the unique ability to prognosticate cases having spent his entire legal career negotiating settlements, litigating and, when necessary, trying complex valuation matters. He is a member of the Committee on Condemnation and Tax Certiorari of the New York City Bar Association and a member of the New York State Bar Association.
