Jared joined Goldberg Weprin’s Tax Certiorari team in 2019 and currently lead’s the department’s pretrial practice. Jared handles every aspect of real property tax litigation including property valuation, settlement negotiation, and trial advocacy. Prior to joining Goldberg Weprin, Jared represented Ohio and Pennsylvania taxpayers in property tax appeals and advised clients on tax minimization and project feasibility. Jared’s extensive experience in real estate valuation and appraisal analysis brought him to New York City’s office of Ernst & Young where he provided valuation services for real estate funds, corporations, banks, and individual real estate owners.
Clients turn to Jared for their most pressing issues in valuation and property tax grievances due to his vast knowledge of valuation methodology and his command of New York City rules, initiatives, and policies impacting taxpayers. Jared regularly prepares real estate tax projections and opinion letters for sponsors and developers of commercial property as well as condominium and homeowners associations.
Jared earned his bachelors degree at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and he is a graduate of Loyola University, Chicago School of Law where he graduated with dual JD/MBA degrees. Jared is licensed to practice law in the states of New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
