Steven R. Uffner, a partner and co-chair of the firm’s transactional real estate group, has over 35 years of experience handling all aspects of sophisticated real estate transactions, and related matters. He is a skilled negotiator and draftsman and has assisted clients in billions of dollars of real estate transactions nationwide covering a variety of asset classes. The scope of his practice is diversified and includes the representation of owner/developer clients in connection with acquisitions, sales, office and retail leasing, complex ground leasing, development, and financing of a wide variety of assets, including office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, industrial properties, and multi-family residential buildings throughout the United States. Mr. Uffner also represents institutional and private lenders in connection with permanent mortgage lending, construction financing, and mezzanine debt financing covering commercial and multi-family residential real estate assets. He also has expertise in sophisticated financing transactions, loan restructurings, workouts and distressed debt sales and purchases, for both lenders and borrowers. Mr. Uffner has extensive experience in cooperative and condominium developments, the sale and purchase of development rights, and the structuring and negotiation of partnership and limited liability company agreements for developers and investors entering into joint venture arrangements.
